Now that the Shoe is 100% again, Mrs. Shoe Pilot and I went for lunch. We drove the M Coupe down to San Marcos via back roads, had an excellent meal, and then came back home via a different set of back roads.
Best Sunday lunch in a LONG time.

There are some really nice roads through Wimberley to San Marcos. Single lane on either side and lots of greenery.

it's a wonderland. I routinely go on Saturday drives to HH just to watch gt3's, track prepped vipers, corvettes, wrx's practice on the tracks.
The way the hills are around it, a straight pipped vipers bellow sounds like an incoming helicopter attack

I have a friend who is/was an instructor there on occasion. Now that my weekend car is 100% again, I need to wring it out a bit. I'll probably try to get a few laps in at work this week :)

Sounds nice. I'm trying to remember what life was like before I had kids....
